Your 2024 Miss HBCU Teen, Gabrielle Jolie Lamyssaire, entered the world surrounded by an atmosphere brimming with creativity, thanks to her parents Ronald and Audrey Lamyssaire, who nurtured a space where artistic expression flourished. From the earliest moments of her childhood, Gabrielle gravitated toward the world of dance, embarking on a journey that would sculpt her into the multifaceted individual she is today.

As a graduating senior at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, Gabrielle's prowess in dance shone brightly amidst the vibrant community of Carver Center.

Throughout her academic years, she not only excelled in her studies but also distinguished herself as an amazing dancer and choreographer. Her unwavering dedication and commitment to her craft garnered her numerous accolades, firmly establishing her reputation as a formidable presence in the dance realm.

Beyond the confines of the dance studio, Gabrielle immersed herself in various facets of her school community. Active participation in events such as the annual winter dance, inertia, and spring dance concert as well as the Carver Center Fashion Show allowed her to showcase her talents not only as a dancer but also as a director, demonstrating her versatile skill set and leadership capabilities. Gabrielle is a student dancer, teacher, and choreographer at Studio A Modeling, Etiquette and Dance Academy where she is also a member of an award-winning competition team.

Fueled by a desire to merge her passion for dance with her love for science, she set her sights on pursuing a major in Biology at Texas Southern University in the Fall to become a preeminent Physical Therapist specializing in the unique needs of professional dancers and athletes, with aspirations of one day establishing a practice of her own.

For Gabrielle, dance transcends mere movement—it serves as a conduit for understanding the intricacies of the human body. Through her academic pursuits in Biology, she seeks to unravel the mysteries of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, leveraging her knowledge to optimize performance, prevent injuries, and nurture overall well-being within her beloved dance community.

As Gabrielle embarks on the next chapter of her journey, she remains unwavering in her dedication to both her art and her calling. With boundless determination and an unyielding commitment to excellence, she continues to inspire those around her, leaving an indelible mark not only on the world of dance but on the hearts and minds of all who have the privilege of knowing her. Moreover, as the 2024 Miss HBCU Teen, Gabrielle's platform serves as a beacon of encouragement for young women everywhere, urging them to reach for their dreams, stand out, and make a difference in the world.
