Diamond Drayton

Growing up I was afraid to show who I really was as a person and how much I  light up the room. With so many obstacles to get through, I still managed to tear them down. Hi! My name is Diamond Raschel Drayton, a graduate of Charles Herbert Flowers High School. I was born and raised in Prince George’s County, MD, and I am one of the first Miss HBCU Teen contestants.

If you get to know me as a person, I am hardworking, talented, outspoken, and a great activist for a few organizations such as the Black Lives Matter movement and the March For Our Lives movement. This coming fall, I’ll be attending the trailblazing Tuskegee University, majoring in pre-veterinary medicine. It is an honor to be able to extend my education and achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian and doing many things for the Black community and their pets.
